3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (6921) - London, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2013
Bottle shared with Tomer at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Looks great. Pours thick black with a frothy, tan cream head. Moderate roasted dark malts in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, some bitter chocolate, perhaps a bit of fructose, modest earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light dryness on the finish with mellow char, cocoa, low bitterness. Very good stout, though I wouldn’t guess there was any orange involved.

Bottle, shared with Leighton, many thanks, small creamy head, quite opaque brown colour, aroma of cinamon, light coffee and dark bread, flavour of dark bread and malt, cocoa, dirt and some ripe oranges in the back. A bit different, nice and easy.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2013
Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2013. Black beer lasting tan head. Rich choc and strange medicinal aroma faint touch of choc and orange. Better in mouth bit of newspaper then interesting. Nutty. Strange odd different but good

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerLuvver (34) - Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2012
Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Pours black with dark thick head which stays forever. Scent of dark roasted malts and light orange zest. Taste is a bit weird at first where the orange seems to poke through the coffee and chocolate flavours. It is complex in that every sip tastes different. Some is more chocolaty, others are strong orange. Overall this beer is hugely satisfying and interesting to drink.

On cask at the Ely Winter Beer Festival, 2012. Pours a dark brown colour with a lacy light tan head. Aroma of orange, chocolate, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a dry finish. Mildly bitter. Nice.

(bottle) Nice dark stout with a brown head, "chocolate orange" in the nose but not really any orange in the flavour just chocolate, coffee and malts.
Note: have had this on tap before now and remember getting a taste of the orange. Overall a tasty stout.
