Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.

Clear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good, mostly lasting to diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, vomit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, grapefruit peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111209]

Pigs Ear. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate, a bit too dry. Nice rich marmalade hops but an unwelcome sulphur streak mars things. Dry finish.

On cask at the Ely Winter Beer Festival, 2012. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. A lovely hoppy aroma of pine, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar resinous hop flavours with mild carbonation and quite a dry finish. Lingering pine and caramel. Nice and bitter also.

Cask (CWAF2012, Sat)
Farty eggy and winey aroma. Paleish, brief light head. Apple brandy in the taste, definitely seems more alcoholic than 5.5%. This is a bit old and tired, and if I have the chance, I should rerate.
