Cask (CWAF2012, Sat)
Farty eggy and winey aroma. Paleish, brief light head. Apple brandy in the taste, definitely seems more alcoholic than 5.5%. This is a bit old and tired, and if I have the chance, I should rerate.

Pigs Ear. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate, a bit too dry. Nice rich marmalade hops but an unwelcome sulphur streak mars things. Dry finish.

On cask at the Ely Winter Beer Festival, 2012. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. A lovely hoppy aroma of pine, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Similar resinous hop flavours with mild carbonation and quite a dry finish. Lingering pine and caramel. Nice and bitter also.
