Pours a moderate amber color with a thin off-white head and a bit of a collar. The nose is pretty spiced-up, with quite a bit of oak as well as some earthy notes and a bit of herbal tea. Mild malty sweetness in the background. The flavor has a lot of spice as well. Too much, even for a gruit. Moderate oak presence throughout. Light to medium body with a bit of tannin. Pretty decent, but a bit too far out there. I did like the oak touch.

Draft. Pours a hazy amber body with a yellow white head. Aromatically big spicy tones. Bitter dry tea notes, earth, dirt, and foliage. Spicy lemon grass tones. A soft spicy birch note oak and dry herbal finish. Its always fun to try a gruit.

Sampled from the tap at NotB. Poured a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet grains, with spice and some backing honey. Flavor was flowery with sweet grain and light fruits with honey and caramel as well as a bit of spice and wood coming out in the finish.
