2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 brew3crew (166) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 14, 2012
Hazy yellow body with no head whatsoever. Has a lot of funk coming off of it. It almost tastes like a cookies and cream milk shake. That is not a typo. Not really in a food way either. It just sits and sits on my tounge.

On tap at Avery Strong Ale Fest poured a clear orange amber with a smal lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, white wine, light oak and light barnyard funk. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of barnyard funk, biscuit and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering funky finish.

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Hazy, golden appearance with an off white head. Tangy, coconut, pineapple, mango, lightly vinous aroma. A touch tart, pineapple, coconut, lemon citrusy flavor. Nothing too complex but it is refreshing and fun to drink.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 HighWine (506) - Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2012
Tap at the brewery. Clear pour the color of light golden honey. No head and still in the glass. 3. Aroma is an amazing blend of bubblegum and balsamic vinegar. 8. The taste is bitter up front, followed by biscuit malt, and then a Belgian yeast sweetness leaps forward. Delicious. 9. Slippery in the mouth with a lingering biscuit taste. 4. As good as anything at Russian River. 18
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 22, 2010
Tap at Cambridge Brewing. Pours in a wine glass- hazy almost dull yellow/orange with a thinning head- dissipates to nothing. Aroma is very fruity and funky- tons of brett, pedio and lacto- fruity, tropical notes, pineapple, leather and light apple hints with barnyard light horse manure, and good clean white wine and woody tones. Flavor is earthy, fruity more pineapple, and funky white wine, spicy, earthy, light crackery malts, cobwebs, musty, leather, earth and funk with some spice. Mostly clean and not over the top funked out- just really well balanced at this point- I feel like this beer wasn’t even as close to the funk level it is now when I first had this over a year ago.

A Sim rate (on tap at Cambridge brewery tap): aroma is sweet but very alcoholic. It’s the maple in a bourbon barrel with some smoke thrown in. Flavour of bourbon and maple with sour lemon drops and citric orange fruits. There’s a real kick in the finish. So sweet and sour. I like this beer.

Sweet and syrumpy nose...winey too! Golden and white head. The wine flavors are a bit too pronounced but nice.

Had this at the Belgian Beer Fest Boston (Night of the Funk) 2009. Very similar to Allaghash Interlude. A belgian beer with wine qualities derived from aging in French oak barrels.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MJGG (782) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 1, 2009
Excellent !
