4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Delicious. A nice well balanced pale ale. I'm pretty sure this one has a lot of cascade hops. A nice bitter vote at the end that doesn't longer too long. One of the better pales I've had recently.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a dark red-orange with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet, honey, earthy, with an array of citrus hop profiles. The taste is fruity steady and smooth starting malty sweet candy, cooked caramel, and a light oily hop bitter feel without being overly "hopped up". This is one straight forward, session quality pale ale. If it was sold in bottles Iíd have this in the fridge all year round.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy pale amber pour. Tight white head. The nose is soft. Floral and citrusy dry hop with a light dry crackery malt character. Lightly resinous on the back but its quite a lovely lightness. Fresh and fruity with a soft bitterness and light fruity character. Orange peel and a bit of spicy zest. A pretty solid cask really.

On tap at CBC when we stopped for a late lunch before Night of the Barrels. Pours a clear gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Soft hops, light citrus. Crisp and easy. Bright citrus, vibrant and lively. Slow long bitterness. Gorgeous.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber color with a thin layer of head. Sticks to the sides nicely. Hoppy aroma for a pale ale. Tastey hops and crisp but lingering maltiness Medium body. A little thick for a pale ale but decent. Very easy to drink on this another abnormally cool summer night. A decent Pale Ale but could use less hops. But itís not enough hops to be an IPA. Iíll have 2 tonight and share the other 2 glasses from the growler with friends. Shouldíve gotten 2 growlers!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 A Sim rate (on tap at the brewpub): Really enjoying this. Decided to re-rate as Mesí original rate is from GBBF & I think itís much better than he originally rated it - having it at the brewpub makes a difference, Iím sure. Very drinkable freah hoppy pale. Aroma is green & hoppy. Flavour is soft, hoppy and incredibly drinkable. Itís what weíve been needing this whole trip. Great bitter aftertaste. I could drink a lot of this.
A Mes rate:
Gravicask at GBBF. Amber colour with a slight head. Very hoppy and fruity in both the aroma and flavour. Possibly a little too aggressively hopped but it worked ok for me. Reasonable body. Excellent length.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap at brewpub.
Clear light orange with a decent head, sharp floral hoppy arooma. Flavor balances well with some light bitterness, crisp floral notes, and a smooth caramel maltiness. Clean and bitter on the palate. Solid pale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The pour is a relatively clear golden color with a finger of white head on it.
S: Definitely has the nice citrusy aroma that I like in a pale ale. Heavy on the lemon and grapefruit (especially grapefruit zest) with a few floral notes mixed in. A nice bit of bready malt in there for substance.
T: Not much deviation on the palate. Plenty of lemon zest and grapefruit flavors. The bitterness is moderate and the malt flavor comes through nicely without being overly sweet.
M: On the lighter side of medium with a medium carbonation.
O: A well done pale ale. Nice hop character while retaining some malt flavor as well.
