Aroma is average malt (bread, grain), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (earth) with notes of heather and apple. Light bodied, thin texture, flat carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Sep 24, 2007 Sampled @ the Cambridge Brewing Company with the Mad_Indian. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of smoke, caramel, floral and earthy hops. The flavor is slightly sweet, caramel, smoke, peat, and finishes mildly bitter.

Sep 23, 2007 Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Cambridge brewing.Clear Amber pour with caramel\citrus and a smoke aroma. Sweet citrus flavor with a watery mouth feel. It was ok.

Sep 1, 2007 [draught @ the brewpub] Barely hazy, medium amber color. Complex aroma, plenty of floral lavender and heather, some very toasty malts. Spicy fuggles provide a nice contrast to the floral elements. Sweet, toasty malt. Finishes with some remaining heather and a touch of wood/earth. Complex, yet very drinkable.

May 31, 2007 Draft @ CBC - Aged in a Chardonnay Barrel - Light hazed amber, thin white fizzy head. Bold and complex aromas of tree bark, florals, lavender, juniper, and earth. Barrel is well done here as the soft white wine and oak notes emerge at room temp. Tastes as good as it smells with more herbal, floral, woodiness that sits on a soft white grape and oak finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Different, unique, and clearly well done...
