rmalloy (177), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Oct 16, 2006 I thought this beer was awesome. The heather and lavender meld perfectly into the malt. I love the floral aromas. Like everyone says, the carbonation works well with it, adding body to a soft beer. scraff (1632), Baltimore, Maryland, USA May 31, 2007 Draft @ CBC - Aged in a Chardonnay Barrel - Light hazed amber, thin white fizzy head. Bold and complex aromas of tree bark, florals, lavender, juniper, and earth. Barrel is well done here as the soft white wine and oak notes emerge at room temp. Tastes as good as it smells with more herbal, floral, woodiness that sits on a soft white grape and oak finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Different, unique, and clearly well done... tiggmtl (4169), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 7, 2005 Thick sweet toasted malt and very floral, herbal and citrusy character in the aroma. Clear golden body with plenty of very visible, fine bubbled carbonation is topped with a generous, dense, white head that recedes slowly with some sudsy lacing. Floral and spicy character complements the pleasantly toasty malt base with plenty of sweet fruity esters. Medium light body with lively carbonation that stimulates the tongue. Volgon (2458), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jan 21, 2004 Extreme Beer Fest 2004: Cloudy orange color, with a small white head. Strong sweet earthy flowers in the aroma. Medium bodied, quick finish. The best un-hopped beer that I've ever had.
