Rciesla (1136), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2008 Draft at EBF. Pours a cloudy golden body with a foam white head. Aroma is citrus orange, yeast spiciness and some sweet malt. Flavor has a slight etoh warming with a relatively thick mouthfeel. Interesting.
ajm (459), Los Angeles, California, USA Mar 14, 2008 It’s good. Probably the creamiest tripel I have had - very silky, like a Chouffe. Orangepeel factors as does rich flour (I know) and tingly alcohol. Tap at the brewery. Dickinsonbeer (2565), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Mar 6, 2008 Tap at brewpub. Pours a nice slightly hazy goledn- light copper with a frothy sticky white head and good lace. Aroma is phenolicy, spicy, typical westmalle yeastiness- although there is some bastogne fruity- almost orange zest quality yeast as well with a slight pepperiness. Flavor also has a douhgy yeasty pepper character, some more clove like phenolics, some westmalle doughy and dryness- a bit grassy. Good body and I like the relative dryness for a tripel. Hugerat (421), somerville, Massachusetts, USA Feb 11, 2008 Draft @ Kendall Square pub. Pale golden color. Points off for having no head at all, but it’s pretty effervescent. fruity, spicy and floral. Certainly true to the style, but not remarkable. bu11zeye (3887), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 6, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2008(Draught; multiple occasions) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of coriander, candi sugar, florals, orange, and other herbs. Flavor of sweet citrus, noticeable alcohol, candi sugar, banana, and coriander.
