Sampled at the brewpub, amber-orangeish color, with a white head, floral hops accent, with a note of orange fruitiness, toasted malt in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a herbal fruitiness from the sterling and saaz hops, earthy spiciness, zesty citrusy note, leading towards a fruity hop bitterness finish.

Draught pint at CBC 5/5/06. Pours a light coppery color with a small off white head. Nose is light apples, some toasted malt notes. Palate is clean and smooth. Flavor is lightly hoppy, some toasty and spicy notes. FInish is lightly bitter.

Draft at Bukowski, Boston: poured slightly cloudy yellow in a pint glass with a thin wisp of ahead. Light banana aroma. Mild apple. Decent body. The flavor is thin: light lemon, somewhat grainy malt flavor. Decent but kind of lacking. 6-3-5-3-13 Draft at Brewery: Pours orange with a small white head. Earthy aroma with hints of chocolate. Light citrus flavor. Lightly carbonated. Good.

Moderately sweet and malty Vienna character with some toasted malts and no hops notable in the nose. Hazy glowing copper-tan coloured body is topped by a dense, fine-bubbled, white head that recedes slowly to a persistent cover with excellent lacing. Toasted, nutty, malty and sweet flavour with light, spicy, herbal hops and fair balancing bitterness in the dry finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a creamy texture. Ridiculously generous, lasting head with thick gorgeous lacing tops the pure gold body...herbal, grainy sourdough nose feeds my desire...luscious body with complex dissimilar leafy greens jousting at caramel, bitter smokiness, and vanilla cream, but alway fresh grass underlies and an odd pungent farmy texture coats the superb mouthfeel as tongue leads to throat and ecstasy.
