dont know what the last reveiwer was on about.....this isnt a lager pure and simple. its states ipa on the clip, although ipa’s should be stronger in my book. malty and hoppy on the nose with a vanillary piney hoppy quality about the taste the beer is apparantly dosed with oak chips in the fermenter to give the vanilla taste. pretty decent.

Cask handpull, Derby Summer BF 2011- 4.3% according to the pump clip. Limey gold with a pillowy white top. Grassy, slightly metallic aroma with hints of almond. Slight and corny with metallic grassy streaks, soda water notes. Real lager? Well-conditioned wet air.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Gold with white head. Quite a light beer for the relatively higher ABV. Thinnish with a dry malty body, reasonable bitterness with a touch of zesty lemony hop. Fairly standard.

Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. This outfit has been brewing since 1997 yet I had never rated one of their beers before so I was pleased to finally get the opportunity. This is a solid, clean golden bitter with a light biscuity malt presence and a decent ration of lemony hop. Distinctly dry mouthfeel. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary but a pretty decent offering.

A Sim rate (cask at St Albans BF): Very citric aroma - lemon and grapefruit. Tastes exactly like an orange fruit pastille - slightly sour inside but coated in sweetness. Quite nice, but rather ordinary.
