COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg & Bottle;
Helles and Pilsner combine – the pale, crisp body of Pils with the gentle hop profile of Helles. It’s pale gold, refined, elegant and dry. Soft biscuity malt, a light lemony, peppery hop character and the sort of bitterness which quenches and never overpowers. Matured for a long time in tank, it’s how a great lager should taste.

bottle from Waitrose Sidford. Yellow with a small white head. Grainy malty base, slightly bready with biscuity hints, some grassy-dusty hops.

Had kegged version a couple of times. This time it’s a 330ml can BB May 2015 at a BYOB. Interesting art. Slightly hazy yellow, lightly sparkling, very large foamy white head. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is very crisp, malty, a soft bubblegum note brings it down a bit, but overall it’s an above-average lager.

Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2014. Light malty smell, bready with honey and flowers. Similar taste, some soap. Light and easy to drink.

(Bottle) Hazy pale straw with almost no head. Aroma is rather harsh grainy and cardboard but with hints of something interesting and sweet / floral. Light body with midst carbonation. The flavour is mostly rather grainy with somewhat harsh bitterness at the end. Thee are however some redeeming interesting fruity and sweet notes in the background. Overall it is not very good but not boring.

ALLOVATE (2477) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 4, 2014
Uninspiring, brilliant straw gold with minute, intermittent carbonation and headless bar a ring of white. Grainy, dusty, malt husk and cereal-like nose; clean of nasties. Malt forward but so lean and tight it was hard to differentiate character. Grainy like the nose with a powdery texture amid a featherweight body. Moderate carbonation adds race but little hops are noted. Finish is also grainy and a little clammy as it warms. Clean, but one-dimensional. (33cL, BB 22/02/15, Cellarbrations Carlisle Carpark Brewday)

Tsekouratos (354) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - DEC 1, 2014
330 ml botle from The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Piss yellow color with a frothy white head. Aromas of grains, mayne some biscuit, with some hops. Taste is sweet and skunky at first, with grains, malts, maybe caramel and biscuits. Light body with medium carbonation. Not that bad...

Transferring some earlier reviews from my blog to RB. Märts 2014, City Beverage Old Streetil Londonis (£ 2,20). RB-s mu arust veits karm hinnang...

Duft av humle og malt. Klar gyllen farge. Dekkende hvitt skum. Noe syrlig smak av humle og malt.

Bottle at the Avery, Cambridge. Pale yellow, somewhere between straw and clear. Skunky, grainy and lemon curdy smell. Taste is sweet with a sour/bitter kick: a lot better than you average lager. A bit of skunkiness in the finish but otherwise ok. Very nice palette with the right amount of carbonation. Mmmmm. Tickly. A good beer to rate and probably not have again anytime soon.

Bottle. Pour is blonde, aroma is malty, earthy, grassy. Taste is malty, grassy, earthy bitterness and honey sweetness towards the finish, well balanced. Very enjoyable lager
