On-Tap at Spuntino, London
Hop filled to begin with an almost like an American style amber ale with a lot of summer fruits fighting to be noticed and a little citrus as well. There is some mild grapefruit and touches of wheat as well.
Amber orange with a thin but foamy white head on the top of the beer that stays throughout. There is some good lacing.
A good mix of fruit and hops to begin with along with some mild pine notes and definitely some grapefruit following this. The taste is quite light and summery with a slight bitter kick right at the end.
Smooth on the palate with a medium body and carbonation levels about the same. There was a subtle alcohol kick around the middle to back end and a refreshing, easy going finish that was slightly bitter and quite fruity.

An enjoyable beer and whilst nothing outstanding I was wishing it came as a full pint rather than just a half in the restaurant I ordered it.

Keg @ Red Squirrel, Edinburgh EIBF 140712
Light golden amber, thin white head, good lacing, slight haze
Aroma - soft bitter hops, fresh, soft grassy hop
Taste - lemon zest bitter hops, bitter watery grapefruit, very light malts, fresh tasting.
Palate - medium carb, thin body. Finish of bitter zest...not much linger, zesty lemon, clean, crisp
Overall - Refreshing pale ale, bit watery though. I wasn’t really blown away by this

Bottle; gold, thin white head; looks like a macro lager, but sure doesn’t smell like one - very hoppy aroma; taste is bitter and hoppy; what was initially only a very faint lemony flavour thankfully developed as things progressed; crisp, quenching, dry, with a bitter, hoppy finish; it initially reminded me of a half-decent lager (Bitburger, say) but the lemon and hops did lift things a level or two; I nevertheless expected much more from the list of trendy hop varieties on the label.
