On tap (keg) at the Rake on 13 April 2011. I presume this is a blend (done at the brewery) of the Caravan porter and something else, probably the Pale Ale. A sort of a black and tan type vibe I guess. The keg dispense produced a rather more sprightly mouthfeel than the Caravan but the appealing chocolate and coffee notes found there were rather more muted in the blend. Strangely, this seemed rather more roasty and fruity than the straight porter. There was a pleasant hop tingle on the finish. Very drinkable if, perhaps, just a smidgen short of intensity of flavour.

Half, from tap@The Rake, London. Low greyish-blond head. Body is murky, dirty brown. Dry crisp malts and a fresh fruitiness in the aroma. Notes of mild chocolate and nuts. Taste has a fresh and crisp malt profile, lightly toasted. Also a refreshing fruitiness. Gently hopped. Medium body strengt. Sparkling, superfresh mouthfeel. A very nice one.
