Cask (handpump) at the Southampton Arms on 24 July 2011. I believe this is a collaboration with Stuart Howe, of Sharps brewery. Murky brown appearance. Lots of chewy fruit in the aroma but there’s some estery notes too. More fruit, together with toffee and chocolate on the palate. A bit on the sweet side for my taste. And, to be honest, a little odd. Interesting but I wasn’t entirely sure what this was supposed to be.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 21 July 2011) Cloudy reddish brown colour with brief head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of dark bread, caramel and sourish wheat hints. Estery and quiet citric. Malty, wheaty taste with dark bread, chocolate, banana and hints of clove. More than medium body, quite sweet. Interesting and slightly weird. Decent.
