Tap @ Olympen, Oslo. This is a dark dark brown-red beer with a small creamy tanned lacing head. Kinda sweet and light burned in the aroma with notes of caramel, thin and lightly sour red fruits and perhaps even some hints of chocolate. Average to soft carbonation, medium to full-bodied and it has a nice creamy mouthfeel. Strong and nice roasted flavors with lots of milk chocolate, some red dried fruits and perhaps something that actually could remind me a bit of bourbon. Has nice hints of cocoa in the finish and a nice roasted aftertaste. Not bad at all this one!

From tap@Olympen, Oslo. 6,7% abv. Dark reddish brown with a moderate sand-colored head. Burnt caramel, English licorice and black chocolate to the nose. Also a whiff of fresh sourish bread. Burnt peppery caramel malts in the flavor. Notes of licorice and ash. Fruity and zesty bitterness underneath. Well-bodied. Dry and light astringent in the mouth. Distinct bitterness, licorice and chocolate in the ending. A nice one.

Medium beige head. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Roasty caramelly caramelized sugar aroma with wooden licorice notes. Very clear and distinct. Dry-sweet roasty caramelly spicy licorice taste with resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Dry (and acidic) roasty citric resiny aftertaste with chocolate and metal notes. (0.4l draft at Olympen, Oslo.)

On tap at Olympen. Dark brown with a frothy tan head. Caramel and chocolate nose. Quite bitter roastedness, some sweet caramel flavours. Drinkable.

Kissmeyer London porter. On tap at olympen... Pours sligtly darker than cola, reddish edges, and topped with a light beige head, quickly dissipating light beige head... Aroma of roast and a medium chocolatiness, touch of dark fruit to follow-up... Flavors are a bit lighter and not as sweet with supporting bitter chocolate notes and a semi-bitter finish. Not as big on chocolate and more hoppy than expected. Thinbodied with medium carbonation. 6/3/6/3/12

On tap. This has been a very pleasant porter experience for me. A little bit toasty and hoppy with a light body; it has a dark brown colour and a medium persistence froth. I like it very much.

Tap (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
5 Smells like a dunkel. Grainy, but more like a lager than an ale.
4 Dark brown, tan head.
5- Nice grainy palate, sweetish. Still convinced this is a lager. Later it starts to remind me of a sewer a bit.
3 Grainy finish.
10 OK for a lager. Just can’t see porter here.

Draft at Makke, in Rome, Italy. Courtesy of Mark the Pilot - thank you sir! Hazy maroon color, small tan head. Aroma of prunes, chocolate, coffee. Taste has dates, coffee grounds, raisins. Nice.
