Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Donít smell like owt, except maybe lager. Really good this. solid, hardened teak exterior, with a flare of booze. Itís like a magnificent Schwarzbier: great slippery mouthfeel and dark flavour wrapped accessibly inside a refreshing delivery mode. Rampage.

LCBF. 1/3 pint. Dark brown, a little head. Smells very yeasty. Body is quite light with high carbonation, bit foamy in the mouth. Taste - a little sherry, maybe some coffee and liquorice. I donít like the foamy body or the yeasty smell, but itís OK overall.

olio (5855) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2013
33 cl bottle.
Pours pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, mild coffee notes and some dark fruit notes, faint vegetable notes on the background. Flavor of toasty malts, caramel, some yeast notes, cocoa and mild vegetables. Medium carbonation, mild bitter palate, sweetish finish. The mild off-flavors ruin otherwise a decent beer.

Idiosynkrasie (3587) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2013
330ml bottle. Deep reddish brown coulour with frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally smoky, dark malty aroma, dry hoppy overtones. Taste is dark malty, minimally grainy, minimally smoky and roasty, hints of dark berries, chocolate. Somehow short-shipped, not fully developed.

jmgreenuk (4011) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is dry and malty, leading to a smooth medium bitter flavour with lots of roasted malt, a little dark chocolate and some spicy pepper on the super rich, creamy and smooth palate. A really awesome beer!
