Appearance: pours a dark brown colour. Thin off-white head. No. carbonation. Leaves moderate lacing behind. Nose: I’m getting a bready yeast, and hints of caramel and raisins. Palate: Getting a raisin bread kind of taste. Some roasted malts. A very slight bitterness on the swallow.

Poured into glass from a bottle. Rich amber color with very little head. Nice blend of malts and hop aroma. Excellent taste. Great balance between malts and hops. Refreshing. Very nice on the palate. best beer I’ve tried in quite a while. Well done cameron’s.

Love this beer. One of the best Amber beers that I have ever tried! West Coast style. Smooth, malty with a deep finish.

Rating #824 - December 12, 2013 - Beer 12 from the Craft BeerAdvent Calendar - Bottle 5%. Descrpition led me to believe this was going to be more of an APA. Clear amber colour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel and hint of citrus. Taste is mild malty sweetness and a little noble hoppy note, drying out the finish. Nothing stellar.

Subtle malt flavor in the taste. Weird bitterness in the palate. Not awesome.

Advent calendar. Pretty plain red ale. I had it with curry, which was okay, until the curry was gone. Then I realized how sweet this beer is.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Brownish amber. Aroma is light of malt and some mild pine. Overly sweet caramel body, very faint hops. Watery body. What exactly makes this west coast?

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
341 mL bottle from the brewery, served in a stem glass. Pours clear caramel-brown with a small, white head that fades and leaves lots of fine lace. The nose has lots of caramel, nutty malts and biscuit, along with subtle English hops and perhaps a hint of anise. The flavour is medium sweet with toasty, nutty malts, caramel and brown sugar. This is balanced with subtle hops and a touch of earth. The finish is medium in length, malty and toasty. On the palate it is medium in body, with a milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a nice ale similar to an English mild. The malts are nice and toasty, with a certain subtlety. Hops are soft and delicate, and take a back seat. A nice light session brew. 2013-05-13

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A solid amber, easy drinking and smooth. Subtle citrus aroma, but dominated.by caramel and toffee. Flavour is the same, with nothing standing out. A good blend of flavours, but no wow factor. Just a good amber!
