Pours a darker brown than what I would describe as a amber, think more maple syrup. Clear with a finger or so of head. Really pleasant smell with this, cereal, a little toastiness and caramel, and a little vanilla. Taste of bready malt, some sweetness, a little bitterness that lingers. A simple beer but not a bad one.

Love this beer. One of the best Amber beers that I have ever tried! West Coast style. Smooth, malty with a deep finish.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2014 Rating #824 - December 12, 2013 - Beer 12 from the Craft BeerAdvent Calendar - Bottle 5%. Descrpition led me to believe this was going to be more of an APA. Clear amber colour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel and hint of citrus. Taste is mild malty sweetness and a little noble hoppy note, drying out the finish. Nothing stellar. 6-3-4-3-10
Rerate - March 19, 2014 - Cameronís mixer pack shared with clients - More grassy spicy hops, again fresher stock so much more crisp - good malt backbone this go-around. 6-3-5-3-12

Advent calendar. Pretty plain red ale. I had it with curry, which was okay, until the curry was gone. Then I realized how sweet this beer is.
