The Dan Journal #490. Tasted 9/19/11. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Lacing off-white head. Aromas of toffee malts and burnt sugar. Medium bodied and nicely toasty. Malt dominant palate with a tangy, citrusy hop flavor. Decent stuff.

Pours a darker brown than what I would describe as a amber, think more maple syrup. Clear with a finger or so of head. Really pleasant smell with this, cereal, a little toastiness and caramel, and a little vanilla. Taste of bready malt, some sweetness, a little bitterness that lingers. A simple beer but not a bad one.

Appearance: pours a dark brown colour. Thin off-white head. No. carbonation. Leaves moderate lacing behind. Nose: I’m getting a bready yeast, and hints of caramel and raisins. Palate: Getting a raisin bread kind of taste. Some roasted malts. A very slight bitterness on the swallow.

Poured into glass from a bottle. Rich amber color with very little head. Nice blend of malts and hop aroma. Excellent taste. Great balance between malts and hops. Refreshing. Very nice on the palate. best beer I’ve tried in quite a while. Well done cameron’s.

Love this beer. One of the best Amber beers that I have ever tried! West Coast style. Smooth, malty with a deep finish.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2014 Rating #824 - December 12, 2013 - Beer 12 from the Craft BeerAdvent Calendar - Bottle 5%. Descrpition led me to believe this was going to be more of an APA. Clear amber colour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is caramel and hint of citrus. Taste is mild malty sweetness and a little noble hoppy note, drying out the finish. Nothing stellar. 6-3-4-3-10 Rerate - March 19, 2014 - Cameron’s mixer pack shared with clients - More grassy spicy hops, again fresher stock so much more crisp - good malt backbone this go-around. 6-3-5-3-12

Subtle malt flavor in the taste. Weird bitterness in the palate. Not awesome.
