Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks avrashi. Clear amber. Aroma of some with a floral note, some caramelly malt and light toasty hints. Flavor has a bit of malt sweetness,a bit of hops and a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Drinkable.

Middle of the road. Well, it’s Camerons after all. I enjoyed the slight nutty flavour, it made this amber slightly tip towards dark instead of pale. Something which I could offer at a gathering of older family members which would please everyone. Their socks would remain on, though, thus sparing my nose for future reviews.

On tap. Clear dark amber active white head. Aroma is toasted nutty malt, rotten apple, rotten egg, grass and slight honey. Average mouthfeel. Sour with a bitter mineral finish. Balance is ok because there’s really not much going on. Not a great red.

whitecap (218) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 7, 2012
341ml bottle. pours clear dark amber with a slightly off-white head with decent retention and average retention. Lively carbonation. Aroma of malt, English hops, caramel, and toffee and a very slight burnt note. Also a tiny bit of diacetyl? taste is mildly sweet sour and bitter. palate is crisp light-medium mouthfeel. Overall this beer is not special by any means but if you live in Ontario it’s a pretty good beer to have. Decent.

smells hoppy and some honey malt. Taste has a decent medium body. Similar yo tankhouse. Enjoyable little kick. Had this from a friends fridge after helping him move and it tasted great - much better than expected.

mansquito (1815) - washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 4, 2012
LCBO, Toronto sampler ($8.95): Pours a light amber color with a whitish head. Aroma is weakly of caramel malt. Taste has some bitterness in there, but not a very good hop profile. Not full flavoured enough. Basically, this is a mediocre amber ale, which is equally mediocre to the countless other brews of this "style."

Swalden28 (2657) - McKinney, Texas, USA - OCT 7, 2011
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber with fizzy, fast fading off-white head. Aroma of subtle caramel and hints of Apple. Flavor is much the same with an earthy finish. Light, watery body with high carbonation. Overall, dont care for it.
