COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was originally brewed as a one-off draught beer for our specialty beer bars. The demand was so high for a return that we decided to bottle this one and share it with everyone. A deceptively dark brew that is fermented using lager yeast, our Dark266 is actually a much lighter tasting beer than one would anticipate. One try and we’re sure you’ll "have a dark side" too.

Pours dark brown that shines deep orange-red in the light. Big rocky head. Bready, biscuity aroma. Sweet, caramel maltiness dominates in the mouth. Fairly thin and a little aggressively carbonated for my tastes. Touch of metal in it.

341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a very dark, slightly reddish brown with small tan head. Aroma of roast malt, light chocolate. Taste is roasty verging on smoky and nutty with a little chocolate. Finish is dry. Nothing great but entirely pleasant.

Very peculiar beer. Nice head and appearance. Doesn’t quite share the typical characteristics of a lager or an ale. Flavour is a bit too sour for my liking, but unique for sure.

Bottle 341 ml from Slijterij van Bergen in Eindhoven (NL). Brown with red reflections under a beige foam with big bubbles. Flavor malt and licorice. Light taste of roasted, nuts, brown sugar, a little watery. Final toast, metal and moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Dark nutty brown with a light tan head. Very light in the nose and the body.. Thin nutty and slight malt in both. Very dry but smooth finish. Decent, but not one I will be trying again.

341ml bottle 4.5% ABV I tried this beer on August 11, 2010 after purchasing a 4 pack of Mixed Cameron’s beers from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent dark brown with reddish hints and a half inch white bubble head. The aroma was roasded malt, nuts, and some caramel. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was roasted malt, some sweetness, and a roasted bitter finish. Nothing spectacular

12oz courtesy of peteinsd. Pours a clear amber with a large, gray, semi-rocky head that has actually some good retention but no lace. Aroma has slight raisins, English tea, wort. Taste is like filtered wort (slight butter, oatmeal, tea, water. Where is the body and alcohol? Was it fermented? Because even wort by itself can produce a head. I think they forgot to put the wort into primary and ended up sheet filtering the wort and bottling it.
