Cask Days 2009 @ Bar Volo, Toronto, ON: Surprisingly much lighter brown than either Jack or Coke, with the smallest of off-white head atop. Aroma certainly provides that expected woody JD note you’d hope for, and actually offers a little of that flat caramel Coca-Cola. Flavour is definitely more Coke than Jack, again tasting like flat cola in a light lager. S’alright.

Nov 17, 2009 Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2009. Cloudy brick-red with a solid frothy beige head. Slightly syrupy-sweet aroma, floral and vanilla. Taste - Jack! - not too much, quite sweet, more than 4% alcohol, gets more of the oak character as it warms. Somewhat still mouthfeel, very soft, a bit woody - quite tasty, I enjoyed it more than I expected, as I don’t like Jack Daniels.

Nov 16, 2009 On cask @ Volo cask days: Appearance: Murky brown with a small white head. Aroma: Grainy, metallic, some very slight hops and a bit of banana. Flavour: Banana, vanilla, kind of like a vanilla coke, creamy finish.

Nov 15, 2009 [2564-20091031] Cask. Mild spicy bandaid aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange body with a quick white bubbly head. Mild earthy malt flavour has some maple and wood notes and a sweet syrupy aftertaste. Medium body. Good, like the sweet touches.

Nov 2, 2009 Volo Cask Days 2009. Interesting idea, but not sure they managed to pull it off. The aroma was very very sweet, the coke is very evident with notes of it, and some vanilla. The jack is nowhere to be found, and the barrel ageing doesnt seem to have done much all it. It was pretty much just a coke flavored ale.

Nov 2, 2009 Updated: Nov 3, 2009good brown color with small amount of head, nose is vanilla, some wood some bourbon. smooth mouth feel, easy drinking but not a ton of bourbon flavor. would be able to drink a few but not the fav of fest. Just so this is known, from the brewmaster no Coke was used or harmed in the making of this beer. Its a funny name not a ingredient list

Nov 1, 2009 2009-10-31. Hazy dark brown body with a small frothy beige head. Sweet aroma of bourbon and wood is surprisingly mild. 7+ Flavour is sweet, light bourbon and mild wood, sweet vague malt, modest bitterness grows, very lightly astringent at times.
