COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned;
Long Leg is a traditional, full flavoured, golden ale exclusively brewed using Fuggle hops, both in the copper and as a late addition to give a distinctive, late copper hop flavour. The name honours the tradition of hop picking on stilts in order to harvest the tall crop.

12-6-07 bottle. Clear amber color with bubbly head and lacing. Smells like a sour pale lager - very bland, no floral or fruity hints - just blah. Drinkable - but little to no real flavor or depth.

Smelled some faint hops for a second before pouring it but after that it was all overly sweet, gooey mildly gauzy malt. Taste was similar with an odd sweetness and equally unusual tart bitterness. Not infected bad, but still not enjoyable. Something about the whole experience of this beer was extremely unappealing. Not the worst I’ve had, but I didn’t bother finishing the last half.

Poured a light copper color with thin lasting head. Aroma of hops and soap suds. Slightly sweet malt up front followed by a bitter hop finish. Average English ale.

Slightly green with a dimpled white head. Aroma is minimal. Grassy, slightly metallic taste. Past its prime, perhaps, but it has a bitter skunky aftertaste. $1.60/12oz

Looks a bit disgusting with a cloudy greenish tint but has a decent white head. Pretty malty on the nose but quite sweet. Tastes a bit like a warm macrobrew beer.
