COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned;
Long Leg is a traditional, full flavoured, golden ale exclusively brewed using Fuggle hops, both in the copper and as a late addition to give a distinctive, late copper hop flavour. The name honours the tradition of hop picking on stilts in order to harvest the tall crop.

pours a lovely opaque amber. Soft, fluffy head. This is a nicely flavored hop ale. good for the beginner and delicious for a pro.

Bottle. Paleish golden, clear, white head. Spicy hop aroma and fruity (strawberry?). Fresh hops at that. Flavor is malty, yet has a full compliment of hop flavor and decent bitterness. Smooth and well made. Reminds me of a past home brew or two...Why is this considered bland? I get lots of hops and fruity yeast character. Must be superior taste buds or something.

Handpulled at the Brunswick, Derby. gorgeous blond, clean gold body, silky smooth, just enough fruit, really polished.

Wonderfully musty dirty finish from the fuggles. Slightly hazy, but within style. Excellent head that stayed to the last. Mild bitterness that sits well on the palate.

A golden ale? Has some caramel in the nose but faintly. A little hoppy but quite a bit of malt. Also a little bit of caramel in the flavor. Pretty good.

Poured a nice bright orangy gold. Solid, compact head, dissipated fast but left some lacing. Aromas of cabbage, earth, yeast, bread and grass. Nice hit of fuggles bitterness. Tasted of herbs, citrus, mild malt, alcohol and strong hop finish. Mouthfeel is fine, about right for a pale, good carbonation. ABV under 5 makes this a good session ale, also good summer thirst quencher.

Lovely golden ale, with a superb white head...nice lace too. What a fantastic nose, very hoppy, very appealling. Hops again burst forth on the palate, and linger on to the long lasting finish...fab stuff. Asda.

Nice! Now this is an English Beer! Had the aroma been stronger and more pronounced it would’ve topped the 4 mark. Taste is floral hoppy and bitter. Almost perfect! The light carbonation and malty/hoppy aftertaste round out this great beer. I may be bias because I am a certified hop head but no matter...bring on the fuggles! (Isn’t that a Harry Potter term?)

UPDATED: APR 16, 2005 pours a light corn color with sticky frothy foam. superbly balanced and clean--the dusty fuggles are showcased well. it matches the shape of its bottle--long and thin. maddeningly refreshing. warmer temperatures show off some apple, pear, and strawberry flavors. glad to have this around.
