Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottle Conditioned;
Long Leg is a traditional, full flavoured, golden ale exclusively brewed using Fuggle hops, both in the copper and as a late addition to give a distinctive, late copper hop flavour. The name honours the tradition of hop picking on stilts in order to harvest the tall crop.

Pours a bit hazy with lighter amber colors. Roasted malt on the nose and and roasted but bitter finish on the end from the fuggles.

Bought this for the silly bottle art. Pours a light gold yellow body with a crisp white head. Aroma is bitter hoppiness. Flavor is floral earthy hops. I didnt enjoy this much.

Wonderfully musty dirty finish from the fuggles. Slightly hazy, but within style. Excellent head that stayed to the last. Mild bitterness that sits well on the palate.

Extreme tribute on fuggles hops. Light yellow with lacey white head. Above averga carbonation. The lace coats the glass. A bit of hoppy, almost cheesy aroma. Medium plus mouthfeel. It climaxes in a fruitiness. Worthwhile pale to try.

12-6-07 bottle. Clear amber color with bubbly head and lacing. Smells like a sour pale lager - very bland, no floral or fruity hints - just blah. Drinkable - but little to no real flavor or depth.

Smelled some faint hops for a second before pouring it but after that it was all overly sweet, gooey mildly gauzy malt. Taste was similar with an odd sweetness and equally unusual tart bitterness. Not infected bad, but still not enjoyable. Something about the whole experience of this beer was extremely unappealing. Not the worst I’ve had, but I didn’t bother finishing the last half.
