Cask at Volo’s 20th Anniversary, April 2008. Watching people order this and sitting on a warm patio, this looked wonderful, thick and hazy yellow in its glass. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, lemon rind, tons of citrus. I taste citrus and grapefruit. Flavour did not quite live up to my expectations, but was nevertheless refreshing. Thin mouthfeel. Half-pint was a good choice.

[1315-20080420] Cask. Pine sap resin and citrus rind base aroma. Colloidal, light tan body with a medium-lasting creamy white head and seriously unfiltered floaties. Lemon balm herb leaves flavour is mostly citrus and resin hops. Medium body is a little bitter and a little thin. "Doesn’t scream pomegranate to me."

Overheard: "It tastes fine it just looks like dishwater."

Cask at Volo’s 20th anniversary. Astoundingly hazy golden-yellow with flakes of yeast and hops floating in it - crazy! Aroma of fresh hops, citrus and cream soda - odd, but really good. Flavour is tangy and refreshing, with lots of grapefruit. A crazy-ass beer that was a lot better than I expected it to be - well done, guys!

On Cask at Volo’s 20th Anniversary Probably the best way to describle the appearance is by pasting this link into your browser http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3260/2429011017 fa64904356.jpg?v=0 Like custard and orange juice with hops floating in there too. Hoppy orange, citrus aroma. Flavour: Hops and orange and pomegrante, sour too. I had a pint later on (the last one from the cask) it was literally thick and chewy, kind of like as if they took grass clippings and put em in there.. I had a noisy night in bed lol. An enjoyable beer and I would love to have it again. Fair play to Camerons

On cask at Volo’s 20th Anniversary. Incredibly thick and hazy lemon yellow appearance with chucks of hops (I think)? Neat! Huge citrus aroma. Huge citrus taste. For some reason I thought it might be read? No idea that the cream ale is the base for this - I’m not sure how you could tell? Apart from what I think this might do to my digestive system, this was really really refreshing and very enjoyable. Kudos Cameron’s on trying something new - and having it turn out really well!

Cask at Volo for ’Volo’s 20th Anniversary’. Pours a very hazy yellow-orange with no head along with some nice little chunks of hops floating in there. Pleasant aroma smells like fresh green hops and grapefruit juice. Flavour follows the aroma and is very refreshing and tasty. Nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. This was surprisingly good, I could drink many pints of this.

2008-04-20. Murky yellow-orange body with a good amount of suspended solids. Looks much like a smoothie or fresh squeezed natural juice of some sort. Fruity aroma, light citrus notes, grapefruit, light pomegranate is less prominent than I would expect. (I’m told later that fresh pomegranate is often quite citrus like, who knew!) Similar flavour is likewise quite fruit, with more of the fresh citrus notes. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. Average to medium palate. (3+) Very interesting, the overall impression is more juicy than beery to me, but it was a rather enjoyable pint. Cask at VOlo, Toronto
