Cask at Cask Days 2011. Beer #24 of festival. Pours a dark amber with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, quite sweet and fruity along with light floral hops. Flavour is also sweet, with caramel malt, light floral hops, grain and an average bitter finish. Medium+ bodied. It’s not bad but it’s not what I look for in a DIPA, it’s too sweet for one thing.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a smooth caramel malt with floral hops, spiced notes, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth biscuitty malt, floral piney hops, caramel and buttery, oily mouthfeel. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

2011-10-30. Very dark brown body, small frothy beige head. 3+ Interesting flavour, nice rich malty core with lovely hoppy over layer. The interplay between the sweet malt and the hops is interesting, and has caught my interest today. Sweet citrus and muted green hop notes grow as you go. 7+ Green hoppy aroma, sweet caramel malt. 7+ Smooth medium to full bodied palate. 3+ Pretty nice, this definitely found me at the right time. Quite liked it. Cask Days 2011, Toronto

on cast at Volo Cask Days 2011. Pours with slight hoppy aroma and pours cloudy amber almost orange with slight foamy head. Taste is subdued hops and malty character. Not bad.
