A malt accented bockiness and strong golden hue unite with the Cameron’s signature use of rye malt to create an intriguing variation of classic style.

2014-11-29. Lightly hazy dark orange body with a modest white body head 3++ Aroma is lightly fruity with a lightly grainy rye character. Flavour is moderately bitter, nice lightly grainy rye notes. Smooth average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Not super complex, pleasantly fruity. Drinkable but I much prefer their RyePA. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a transparent caramelish orange with foamy eggshell head. Smells hoppy, malty, and spicy. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

2014/09/04 - Pours a clear, burnt orange-amber colour with a small, off white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is caramel, dough, and toasted malts. Taste follows nose; moderately sweet caramel, toasted malts, nutty notes. Finish is a tad metallic. Medium body with biting carbonation and a juicy finish. Ok, but the metallic finish spoils it for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I feel like I did this beer a disservice by drinking half of it cold. Some interesting characteristics develop as it warms. On the nose it’s mostly caramel, toasted grain, a bit of spice. Taste is the same but the toasted malt leads the way, with some nice nutty notes. Not much hop character but I wasn’t really looking for that anyway. Overall this is a nice little mashup.

Bottle shared with Robbie and Smitty. Clear copper orange. Fruity caramel aroma, malty. Caramel with rye spiciness and apple fruit, ending with a sharp hop note, a bit metallic.
