Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear ruby brown colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of toffee, some caramel, slight red berries and subtle dark fruits. Taste of caramel, red berries, some cranberry in there, slight dark fruits like plum and subtle spicy, earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A sweet, soft, fruity bitterness in the finish. A very sweet and fruity beer, subtle hops in there. Ok but not my taste.

Clear red amber color with small off white foam. Aromas are sweet, sugary, caramel fruity and malty but soft, not sharp. Palate, soft and light, watery and thin but at the same time has some body to it. Very low carbonation, in a way completley flat and leaves this small sweet finish which is very pleasant and long lasting. Taste of malt, raisins, figs and bit of smoke. Overall nice beer, very sweet (not usual sweet for me) but enjoyable, very easy going, good beer for conversations, that kind of beer that you dont have to think about it much.

Cask at the Prince Albert, Ely. Ruby brown, clear with a small head. Malt aroma with hint if forest floor. Very sweet, very malty taste. More of the same in the slightly chalky finish. Ok.

Cask from The John Duck, Durham, Ł3.25/pint. Pours ruby/dark brown with a thick, cream coloured head that leaves good rings down the glass. Aroma is earthy and smoky, with smoky notes carried through into a malty, toffee taste with a subtly sweet finish. Zero carbonation and low bitterness. Very smooth on the palate.

Cask at the Rose and Crown, Sandhurst. An attractive copper colour with a loose cream head; floral, lightly malted aroma; fruity, strawberry taste, with some light carmael; and a dry, fresh finish. I was quite taken by this, it was a light, summery, refined bitter, not what I was expecting - makes me wonder if there was a mix up with the lines at the pub.
