Cask at Cask Days 2011. Beer #7 of festival. Pours a murky orange-copper with a small lasting bubbly off-white head. Surprisingly nice aroma with lots of sour fruit, cherry tartness, lactic notes and some spices. Flavour is quite tart and sour but also a little sweeter then I’m accustomed to with Sours. Also some fruit and something I can’t place, perhaps wood? Average bodied. Not bad at all for a first attempt at a Sour, a few more tweaks and attempts and it would be quite solid.

[4064-20111030] Cask. Raspberry fruit grain aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a quick bubbly head. Sour raspberry seeds flavour is fairly muted overall. Medium body. Interesting because it has the taste of sour but not really the feel of it. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

A hazed reddish amber ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, a smooth lactic cherry malt, light corky notes, Epsom salts. In mouth, a sweet cherry malt with light grassy maple, Hall’s cough drops, a bit strong. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

Cask days 2011. This was tasty but needs some time to mellow. Sme decent fruit in the aroma, even a touch of lambic, a good amount of tart/sourness. The finish on the other hand was a little rough. Quite sour, a little too sour, astringent even. if they could clean up the harsh finish this would be pretty awesome stuff.

cask Days 2011, i thought was pretty good, a bit raw & young. Nice cherry driven tartness & sour. Aroma was great, tart cherries, some funk. Flavor seemed a bit muddled but seems t have all the right components. Age will do this one well

2011-10-30. Murky orange body with a pinkish hue, small frothy white head. 3+ Odd sourness to it, pleasant lactic notes up front, odd sort of vegetation/fruit notes follow, cherry pits, cherry fruit, waves of nice and not so nice seem to alternate. 7+ Aroma of sour cherries, lactic touches. Brief whisper of almond? 6+ Average plus bodied palate is very lightly carbonated. Very interesting, but a bit rough at times. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! Cask Days 2011, Toronto
