Cask pint from the lescar, Sheffield. Dark reddish brown, with no head. Smell of burnt toast. Taste is much better, roasted malts and a hint of sweet treacle. Unexpected bitter aftertaste too. A bit thin but as a result it is more drinkable.

Cask west riding dewsbury. Good solid black good tan head. Aroma is slight choc roasted notes. Taste is slight sweet milk chocolate some fruits ok bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel. Ok but no where near sweet enough for me.

Cask at the Woodmans Rest, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is creamy caramel sweet malt. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with an earthy mineral malt light medicinal palate. A decent stout but I expected more sweetness and I suspect the keg was coming to the end of its life.

Cask @ Ship Ashore, Willen. Dark brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. Coffee, crystal malt and black pepper. Taste is burnt espresso bitter with a bitter finish and finish. Unwelcome bitter/sour aftertaste. Watery palette. I’m not crazy about this, as much as I want to support Cameron’s in their new beers.

Smells quite vinegary. May be the end of the barrel. Checked with the bar staff but they said that's the way it tastes lovely dark colour. Smells and tastes like a mouldy beer cellar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Trevligt att hitta en Stout som inte var Guinness. Men denna var inte helt ok. Ganska smaklös. Dagens 7:e pint

Hand-pumped in Belfast. Smooth beginning, easy to drink and nicely roasted. Smooth with roasted hints. Dry and not too sweet. The aftertaste is smooth with roasted malt. Nicely bittered. --> 13/12/13/13

Cask conditioned handpump Bear & Staff London 09/04/14. A black beer with a little beige bubbly head. A milk stout for sure. Sweet and sticky. Fruity notes. An oily texture. true to style, but that style can be a struggle.
