Poured clear very light gold with a medium lasting white head. Medium carb. Skunky hop aroma, nothing else really. Thin watery body. Sweet bland taste. Boring!

Bottled, at The Railway Inn, Kew Gardens, West London. </br>Pale golden colour, with a slight cloudiness to it and thin grey head. Cheep corn or grain aroma, very thin a not really worth the time or effort. Moderately bitter with a thin palate.
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Linc (736) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 5, 2004
One of my least favourite breweries and it's no surprise when they make such mediocre crud as this. Thin, champagne like texture with flat, corny malt and soft hop flavour. At least it's not as offensive as other Huyghe products.

Do I smell another "dump this crap in australia" ploy? It a lager, very boring and pretty expensive for the bland offering. Kind of annoyed I grabbed 2 bottles of this as I have to do something with the other one now. I might drink it next time I get good and drunk, saves wasting a good beer when I won't appreciate it.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Choos (507) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - FEB 22, 2004
Aroma is sweet with a hint of corn. Clear pasturised yellow with a quickly reducing head, leaves lacing. Flavour is slightly sweet and metallic with a slight hop aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel but not too highly carbonated. Overall this kills any Australian macro lager I have tried but I am still disapointed.

really tasted similar to dirt. golden and flavourless and particularly terrible

Boring crap. Huyghe suck anyway, and then they go and make this shitty lager. Corny/ricey, sweet-ish malty, dry-ish finish and easy to drink, extremely boring, and very uncompliacted. Why do us Aussies end up with all the crap? This is a pretty pointless beer.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 OlJuntan64 (1266) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2004
MGC under a large medium lasting off white head that makes some lace. Faint stalish woody hops, something lambicky and egg white aroma. Medium soft low carb body. Watery light bitter hops, lightly candy soft drink sweet and a touch of malt at the finish. Is this Huyghe's worst beer? Stick to the ales guys.

huyghe leave their distinctive stamp of mediocrity on yet another style, this time a becks-style lager. smells sweetly malty with a faint note of clag, tastes grainy and slightly salty, with a tiny bit of tinny hop at the end. zzzzz

The other students on this campus are purportedly ales. This beer pours clean and clear in the glass with a crisp creamy head. There is good lacing in the glass as well so for all intents and purposes it looks good. But then it hit me! The use of that dreaded word 'premium'. Whenever this word is used it is almost mandatory that the beer should be bland and fairly unexciting. Well done Campus, you get A+ for achieving the mediocrity expected.
