tomer (162), Israel Jun 29, 2008 0.75L bottle. After long deliberations i came to the conclusion that inspite of the the name this is a belgian witbier, any other thoughts on the subject are welcome.
Small, stable head, thick murky deep orange colour with some dark wellow streaks. Strong yeasty nose with some herbal notes. Taste is dry with some citrusy notes but not much else, some light sweetness creeps in the back.
The body is light to medium and the aftertaste is creamy and pleasant but not too long.
DSG (835), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Hazy dark orange with a medium off-white head. Spicy aroma with some yeast, coriander, some fruitiness and citric notes. Sweetish flavor with some orange peels, spices and quite a lot of yeastiness as well as some wheaty tartness and light alcohol notes. Medium-bodied. Not so bad and definitely a Belgian style. Some news about the mysterious brewery: I discovered a few days ago this brewery is located in an industrial park in one of the bigger settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories (not really in Jerusalem like stated on the bottle), so regardless of what their beer tastes like, I hope they’ll fail miserably.
