Brewed as an homage to those who rise up and set out into the darkness. Whether it’s to watch the lake steam from the bow of your boat on an early morning paddle or to heed the call of the woods in the gray limbo before dawn: Wake up, people! This complex beer, with its spicy and fruity flavors, will provoke. The medium bodied yet light Belgian brew is the perfect reward as you look back on the journey that made up your day. To the dawn treaders, cheers!

On tap at source to tulip snifter. Pours clear gold, white froth head. Aroma of banana, clove, spices, Belgian yeast, booze. Taste is the same with cinnamon-like spice finish that is a quick hello-goodbye. Then back to Belgian fruit spice and booze. Pretty decent tripel. 9.2abv.

Draft at the brewpub. The best beer I found in Duluth. Perfect visuals for style and well balanced tripel characteristics ... golden, frothy, yeasty, fruity. Might be Duvel in disguise. Delish. (#5681, 8/29/2014)

Tap at canal park. Big tulip glass. Gold with big white head. Fruity alcohol yeast smell is nice. Some tang and funkiness. Crisp but with a bit of off after taste. Wanted a cleaner taste overall. Pretty ok.

Tap at Canal Park. One of the better beers I tried. Spices, coriander, and some sugar. Banana and light bubblegum. Sweet, with the alcohol well hidden.
