hazy orange colour, almost no head, strong nutty aroma, vinegar-like, soapy, medium-bodied, nutty finish - rough and one-dimensional; very strange experiment !

Bottle from La Cave A Bulles. Hazy amber beer, no head. Moderate carbonation. Crisp palate. Sweetish malt with a touch of honey. Very nutty - sweet walnuts on the back of the tongue. Crisp malty finish. Made with walnuts.

Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2010
bottle, traded with jaghana. Brilliant label. Hazy golden colour, large white head. Malty nose with hints of walnut. Malty base, lots of walnut with a pleasant bitterness. Very nutty in a pleasant way, no way artificial - very nice nut flavours (walnut). A well-crafted, unusual beer. Big thanks to jaghana for giving me this beer.

bottle 33cl. Smell is heavy on walnuts. The taste confirm this heavy walnuts aroma that goes fully over any other thing on this beer. Not bad but not balanced at all.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a huge off-white head. Dense spiced celery aroma, vague walnut note. Flavour is more distinct nutty, subdued sweetness and with a clear celery note from back of the nose. Ends mild biscuit malty sweet and light spiced into the far finish. Strange.

Bottle at Le Sous-Bock, Paris. Golden colour, clear smallish white head. Walnut aroma. Starting sweet, but ending up quite bitter, actually. The walnuts flavours add a bitter touch. An extra point for originality.

33cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a off white head. Aroma is mega sweet - malts, sugar & walnut. Light bodied. Way too sweet & cloying and tastes pretty much like walnut which never been my favorite fruit. To put it blunt - this beer is nasty! 5 bucks Down the drain!

Bottle at home. Brown with lots of sediment (looks like a latte), large light brown head, no lacings. Aroma moderate/heavy malty (lots of walnuts). Flavor moderate sweet and sour. Light body.

Bottle. Fluffy high off-white and lasting head. Hazy orange body. Nuts and sinnamon plus a bit of cocoa aroma. Strange sweet herbal flavor. Pretty sweet with no bitterness. Aftertaste almost non-existant. Low carbonation, if any.

Bière amb Noeses. Bottle. Hazy amberish colour with hardly any head. Sweet aroma of nuts with some sourness to it. Quite sweet flavour of roasted nuts, malts and some hoppiness. Sweet aftertaste, a bit too sweet for my taste.

It’s an orange golden beer, with a head like on a soda, it does however not vanish all together. I makes the mistake to sniff the aroma instantly, and that is very harsh. I try again later and now it still is harsh but not in the ripping way. It has notes of citrus and a lot of walnut, even later there is only notes of walnut. The flavour has distinct notes of walnut and a hint of licorice in an odd acidic way. It’s not an enjoyable beer, according to my taste buds, so the rest went down the drain.
