330ml bottle from somewhere -other- than Cave à Bulles in Paris - this is good news, perhaps the French microbrews are gaining a wider distribution? Pours with an attractive amber colour, but not much head. Aroma of wet roasted barley. Taste is smooth roasted barley, spicey, with a weak finish. Sadly like so many French microbrews they don’t have all of the elements working in harmony just yet.

bottle (brewed at Mélusine Chambretaud), merci jaghana! Hazy amber colour, mid-sized head. Lovely aroma of honey. Sweet malty base, pleasantly fruity with a nice hopps touch.

Bottle from Cave à Bulles. Clear copper with a decent head. Fruity aroma with hints of coriander. Somewhat buttery fruitiness, hints of sourness, spicy flavours. A bit fat. Absolutely drinkable.

Bottled. Clear amber, small head. Fruity and dusty with some butter. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel and light salty bitterness. Unremarkable beer. Pleasant, but without much depth.

Clear amber coloured beer with small off-white head and medium carbonation. Yeasty spicy aroma. Full palate bit creamy. Finish is herby and bitter ending is slightly dry.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a dense off-white head. Light spiced and mild hoppy aroma. Light fruity into mild sour, but this is a biere de garde - no wonder. Light caramel malt and light lacto bacteria flavour. Light yeasty note mixed with a smooth to mellow caramel malt flavour. Decent and classic French biere de garde.

[Sampled in 2004 at CMO-grillparty bought in Svendborg, Salig Simons gård.] Have had this bottle twice and both times it has been great. Like a flamish sour ale with notes of sourness, fruits, berries, weak hops, grapes and indeed complex and refreshing.
