Fruity aroma. Dark coloured slightly rich on the palate and fruity with a bitter crisp roast finish.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A dark brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is very roasted combined with a light chocolate note. The flavor is sweet with a nice roasted note combined with notes of chocolate, and leading to a dry bitter end. The mouthfeel is very smooth. Nice.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Inky black, with a brown head. Smoky aroma. Dry with smoky malt and a sour, lactic edge. Salty, oystery flavour. I’m not sure this was intended. Unusual, but I liked it.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. Now I purchased this one and was probably the only one to see it when first poured and it looked an absolute beauty. Black with a fantastic coffee tan coloured head; given the method of dispense and absolute thing of beauty. The aroma on the other hand was a completely different kettle of fish - a word I will use again - the smell is a mixture of oily fish and shampoo or soap; very strange. The taste though is nice. Again some fishy character and some soy. The beer is a little thin and a little odd but it’s very intriguing.

Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006. Black with a tan head. Smoky tomato aroma. The flavour is of tomatom also with some smoke and roasted malt. Really not very nice.

Cask @ Reading 06: Very dark in colour. Mild apple-like flavour. Darker malts dominate, along with some strange lactic-like notes. Ok.

Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Unusually yeasty spice start. Slight sweetness with malt biscuits and a little alcohol in the finish.

cask@The Sussex Beer Festival. This was really horrible. Horrible wrotting smoked meat aroma and flavours, There wasn’t much happening aside from this, maybe a hint of roasted malt. This was strange, and i almost couldn’t stomach it, really odd.
