The use of Hemp Flowers (among other entheogenic plants) in Beer was a common thing in whole Europe before the year 1512, when the so called "beer purity law" appeared in Germany. This purity law is perhaps the first anti drug law of the menkind... Hemp is an emparented plant with hops. Hemp flowers have more than 140 different aromatic compounds. Many of them are found in hops too and many others that are not produced by hops but fits perfect with hops together. This all different essential oils that results in the unmistakeable hemp flower aroma of Cannabia. Cannabia contains more hemp flowers than hops flowers. The production of Cannabía was autorized in ’96 by the Berliner authoritys. For more on this beer visit: http://www.dupetit.de/english/framer.htm

330ml Bottle (4.8%) - Golden with a small white head and moderate carbonation. The aroma features corn and some slightly herbal elements. The taste is every so slightly herbal with notes of malt and corn. A gimmick.

Pale yellow beer with a small white head. Minimal aroma of floral hemp and some hop, light malt, sourish yeast. The flavor is similar like the aroma. Interesting one because the hint of Cannabis. But otherwise not an exciting rather a boring, average, weak one.

[330ml bottle from the Garden Cafe. Frome, Wiltshire] Pours a dirty pale gold colour with a slight white head. Rather fizzy. Very sweet initially. A fairly strong aroma and taste of hemp that bought back memories of boiling the stuff up to use for fishing (the whole house smelt like this for the rest of the day!). A very odd oily finish with hints of bitterness that I found quite unpleasant. Certainly very different from and with more flavour than your usual pale lager, but I’m not convinced it’s an improvement! c3

330 ml bottle. Looks really light golden, not good at all. Aroma has some maltiness, hops, a scent that you can with your best imagination call cannabis. Has on odour of a wet place. Palate is surprinsingly smooth! Once in a lifetime.

330 ml bottle. From Estonia (H). Pale golden colour. Aroma is like chewed chewing gum, slightly minty. There is mild cannabis in sweet flavour but it ain’t that good.

nice aroma, drinkable. like a bulk lager with aroma. Better than a basic bulk clearly. tasty actually. very authentic hemp aroma. the scratch etiquette has something else like dry juniper.

bottle. pours a clear yellow, with a white head that does not last.usual macro beer aroma, i did not notice hemp or hashis in any large amount.aroma reminds me of roskilde festival, so maybe lol. flavor is faint corn, hemp, faint sweetness. nice flavor, not ordinary beer flavor, you can taste the added spice. palate os good, overall a drinkable brew. actually quite taste for an organic beer.

Bottle @<a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/forums/cnudde-ølsmagn target=_new> Cnudde Tasting.. Clear light yellow color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is spicy - cannabis ( They tell me ! ) sweet citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (290308)
