1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 DruncanVeasey (6112) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2006
Nauseating stench of spliff, watery yellow body, bitter hemp/mandarin orange flavour that lingers revoltingly. Whether you can stomach this or not will depend entirely upon your experience of the drug. Hemp overpowers any other aromas or flavours the beer may aspire to having. But what the hell did I expect? A one-dimensional gimmick bordering on the undrinkable, but you have to try these things. Bonus point only for flouting the Reinheitsgebot.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tranquillity (1368) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2006
Bottle, 330ml. Pale amber lager colour, no head to talk of. Sweet rubber aroma. Quite akward. Quite good taste once you get used to it, with a tinge of lemon zest. The hemp is strongest in the finish, which is surprisingly long.

Bottle, from Beer Cellar in Lincoln. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Aromas of honeyed malt and solid flowery herbal hop notes, presumably some of which is hemp flowers. Full bodied in the mouth with sweet grainy malt balanced discretely by hop and again a flowery herbal note. Sweet finish with slight hop bitterness.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 schuimkroaat (410) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2005
Clear (light) amber with some pearling and a small white lacy head. Strong lemon peel and spice perfumed aroma, with some solvent and some light-struck sensation. Fruity, spicy and lightly metallic flavour with roughly the same components as the aroma. Good on the palate, good with lightly spiced food.
