The use of Hemp Flowers (among other entheogenic plants) in Beer was a common thing in whole Europe before the year 1512, when the so called "beer purity law" appeared in Germany. This purity law is perhaps the first anti drug law of the menkind... Hemp is an emparented plant with hops. Hemp flowers have more than 140 different aromatic compounds. Many of them are found in hops too and many others that are not produced by hops but fits perfect with hops together. This all different essential oils that results in the unmistakeable hemp flower aroma of Cannabia. Cannabia contains more hemp flowers than hops flowers. The production of CannabŪa was autorized in í96 by the Berliner authoritys. For more on this beer visit: http://www.dupetit.de/english/framer.htm

I kind'a like this beer. Has a hint of the special hemp aroma, and the palate is real funny, kind of drying out ones mouth for an hour. Dry, dry finish.

Remarkable beer. Smells like weed and has a very unusual taste. I liked it (however it seems like iím the only one around here...)

Straight from the bottle for this one. Floral and hoppy aroma, cannabis does exist, along with a light bitter tase, with notes of hops. Average carbonation, thin to medium body, watery texture. Donít know why I liked this so much, but this is damn good.

Odd flavor (hemp?) that is apparent in both the smell and taste. A pretty good beer, all things considered, though it's awfully fizzy. For a lager, it's flavorful, but whether it's a good flavor is subject to debate.

Bottle from Real Foods.Organic hemp lager, the first of itís kind according to the label. Pours a light blonde colour with a decent white head. Nice herbal aroma with some barley. Flavour is primarily of malted barley with some black pepper and a herbal quality. Some yeast also present. Moderate carbonation. Surprisingly long herbal linger.

Low head on a golden body. Rather original, the hemp gives it an interesting extra taste, rather nice in fact. This is a beer I would like to drink again and enjoy. I think the hemp goes well with this beer. Nice surprise really.

Clear (light) amber with some pearling and a small white lacy head. Strong lemon peel and spice perfumed aroma, with some solvent and some light-struck sensation. Fruity, spicy and lightly metallic flavour with roughly the same components as the aroma. Good on the palate, good with lightly spiced food.
