3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Aromas of fruits and malts. Some raisin to it. Taste is sweet at first followed by a nice blast of bitter. Lingering bittersweet finish in a good way. Well balanced and a pleasant surprise.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC
Black color, creamy head. Evident berry aroma, raspberry and blackberry, with a dash of roasted malt. Good body strength; strong chocolate flavor, some roasted malt, and a pleasant blackberry flavor; the bitterness is too strong. I’m not a fan of such beers, but this one is very well brewed.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle purchased in Duncan, BC. Poured dark, almost black with hints of purple perhaps. Sizeable tan head with good lacing. Almost overwhelming aroma of blackberries. Medium body with initial sweetness and blackberry notes with a bitter and long finish. A good sipper though. Felt stronger than 6.5% but overall very good. Recommended.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice deep dark brown colour with a tan head. The aroma of blackberries is certainly overpowering at first, but also evident are some nice roasted chocolate malts. The taste is quite sweet with the berries being most pronounced, however the finish has a nice dry bitterness to it. Full bodied, feels like syrup on the palate, but the carbonation was a little soft. Overall a unique and interesting beer, quite good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
The berrie smell is such that I had to check if it was real or artificial, it has quite a solid berry nose, a bit too much on the sweetness though. Smokey malt comes on as you drink on. Dark reddish brown on the edges shows the clearness of it, but it’s quite dark otherwise and has pretty good lacing. The initial taste is the sweetness of the malt but the malt flavour seems to hold back and then theres a wave of berry. It’s alright, but the berry is overwhelming everything, wait, theres a bit of the smokey porter underneath that, which is hiding the malt flavours. The description speaks of the 3 hops, I get only a late palate bitterness without much hop flavour to it, leaves a bitter taste about the palate. Alright, but the balancing is to someone elses tastes I guess.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Attractive color and head, but little aroma. Blackberry smell only seems to be powered by the carbonation.
Taste is a surprise, deep chocolaty body, slightly sweet, very smooth, and no bitter aftertaste. Blackberries hardly come through at all.
Hardly worth calling this a fruit beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber- pours a dark rootbeer like hue with a chunky, frothy off white head. Nose- the blackberries are quite forward in the nose giving a big sweet fruity smell. Slight roast also present. Taste- more dry and roasty than anticipated givin the big fruity nose. Fruit is more in the background taste wise. Is actually quite dry and bitter on the finish. Dark chocolate and some hop bitterness. Carbonation is on the low side. I didn’t know what to expect with this so overall I’m satisfied.
