3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Trev (1663) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 9, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2006 From the bottle: Pours a deep opaque brown with reddish hints. Thin fizzy head that fades instantly. Aromas of hazelnut, and chocolate. Flavour is smooth and a little thin. Malty and slightly nutty flavour with a faintly sour aftertaste.

In my opinion the best from Cannery although can be a little watery on tap. Directly from the brewery in a "party pig" it is a great session beer with a full mouthfeel, inviting head, and eye-catching brown colour. Puts OSB to shame.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TipsyMcStager (1114) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 1, 2005
faint nutty aroma. Pours a dark brown, practically no head. Looks like flat Coke in the glass. Roasted malts come through in the flavour. Oily palate. Sourness in the finish. Fairly smooth going down. Inoffensive, but doesn’t make you want to seek it out again.

650 ml bottle. Red brown colour with a frothy tan coloured head. Toffee, walnut, and lightly bready aroma. Toffee and nutty flavours with a lightly earthy character. Medium bodied, smooth.

Bomber: Pours a lush earthy brown with reddish tinge. Decent head but not much lace. Could have been the glass becuase it wasn’t mine. This is definitely one of those beers where the aroma trumphs the flavour. Complex layers of roasted hazelnuts, light roast coffee, milk chocolate, grapefruit, toasted oats. Somewhat light and smooth mouthfeel. Flavour profile is a bit more straightforward. Roasted malt with hoppy finish. Would love to try more from these guys. Cheers!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 sleepdirt (169) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 6, 2004
Brown chocolate colour with nutty-caramel taste. Somewhat hoppier than other nut brown ales I remember(at least this bottle is!). Decent beer that would be better with a little more body and better carbonation. Mine went flat pretty quick.
