COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique dark India Pale Ale is our tribute to the firefighters and emergency workers who helped fight the 2009 Okanagan Valley Fires. An intricate and exciting blending of hops, coupled with a rich malt foundation produces this fine ale with a complex character, dark colour and lingering hop finish. Fierce hop. Gentle Bite.

This hit the right spot for me. Beautifully soft body and thick roasty-coloured head. Malty aroma and well balanced taste. Less bitter than others of its style, but that’s fine, it’s all about taste. The balance of roast, hops and cream was heavenly.

A little simple, but ok. Pours blackish brown with good head and lacing. Pretty much bitter hops with a little roast malt. Finishes bitter, straight up no bullshit. Creamy texture. Bottle from vitis.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium head. Aromas of pine and resin. Flavors are similar with roasted malts. Light for a black IPA but refreshing and quaffable.

Pours a very dark brown letting some light through and a beige creamy head 1/4 inch think that covers the beer and seems to last which also displays great legs. Aroma is roasted malts, slight sweetness, light black licorice, and faint citrus. Flavour is a decent balance of a moderate hop bitterness and roasted maltiness, a bit watery and a dry finish.

Pours a clear black with a red tinge and a brown head that dissipates into a ring. Aroma of roasted malts, citrus and grassy hops, toffee and chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, light citrus hops, chocolate malts and a decent bitterness on the finish almost too much.

650ml bottle pours a dark amber color with a 2 finger off-white head that retains well and leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is citrus with some caramel and light roasted grain notes. Taste is quite malty sweet with a moderate citrusy hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with nice carbonation leaving a pleasant feel on the palate. Quite a nice IPA that was thoroughly enjoyed and is recommended for a tasting.

Pours the colour of weak coffee with half an inch of off white foam. Aromas are dark chocolate, chicory, pine. Taste has a nice flavour progression from a sweet malty opening, to a notably bitter middle - towards the end hop aroma starts to emerge - quite floral. Then the malt emerges again on the long finish. It’s almost too busy, but reasonably pleasant

Deep murky brown pour unleashes a foamy and rocky beige cap. Lots of sticky lace here. Nose of citrus, pine, and floral hops. Lots of roasty malts, charred wood, some spice. Tastes of fresh citric hops, roasty malts again, dark bread, woody and smokey. Nice hop bite in the finish is balancing with sweet and toasty malts. An interesting IPA. I really liked the tough of burnt - was just enough to make the name and label seem really appropriate. Although I am wondering if it is the last thing the firefighters it pays tribute to would like to taste in their beer haha

Bottle. Dark brown with nice thick beige head. Some lace. Aroma is roasty & hoppy but but the hoppiness fades fast. Taste is bitter chocolate with a hint of citric hops. It kind of gels, kind of clashes. Nice palate.

Pours dark brown with a thick beige head. Pleasant aroma - citrus hop qualities mix with sweet fruits. Body has a nice balance with the dominating hops coming out on the end leaving a lingering grapefruit, slightly acidic finish. Good.
