3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #968 - February 11, 2014 - Belated #mondaynightbeers with @brnewstead. Bomber from Co-op. Aroma is super orangey, grapefruit, and lemon notes, as well as a bit of malty sweetness. Palate actually holds a decent earthy roasty character, but ends up a bit of a fruit bomb for an IBA/CDA. Medium body for 7.6%, medium alcohol warmth. Balance is there between the sticky sweet citrus and the dry-hop bitterness. Certainly crushable, no doubt, especially for CDA freaks. Great IBA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was good. Lots of hop aroma and flavour. Taste son were between an IPA and a stout with lots of roastyness and big hop flavour.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is a slight roastiness and some smokiness. Taste is a dry roastiness which has some caramel notes and paired hopiness with some tangy finish. Appearance is a dark black one with lace head that retains very well.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dated bomber, what a concept. Clear deep dark copper brown, tan creamy foam head mostly fades. Caramel roast aroma, citrus floral pine. Bitter dark roast taste, a bit watery, pine and citrus hop. Softer carbonation, medium thin body, moderately hopped. Dry bitter singed malt finish. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Pours black with generous frothy head. Aroma of pine, berries, burnt wood. Taste is the same. Mildly hoppy, not horrible.

Draught sample. Deep brown with a dense tan cap, solid lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate. Smells way more like a stout. Taste is more boastful of pine, roasted nuts, and a shwack of milk chocolate again. A late-coming, but lingering dry mouthfeel. Reminds why I've stayed clear of cannery and it's "meh".

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A little simple, but ok. Pours blackish brown with good head and lacing. Pretty much bitter hops with a little roast malt. Finishes bitter, straight up no bullshit. Creamy texture. Bottle from vitis.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium head. Aromas of pine and resin. Flavors are similar with roasted malts. Light for a black IPA but refreshing and quaffable.
