COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The dark Cannewitzer Bock is brewed after an old secret prescription. It is male strong, characterful by its sympathetic roasting notes of dark malts, it runs liquid - sueffig over the tongue. A true speciality is always preferred by connoisseurs, because it is somewhat special.

Klasse.

Bottle from Erzengel - many thanks, Gabriel! The beer has got a dark brown colour with an airy head and smooth body. Aroma of malt and bread. Taste of malt, caramel, hops, flowers, bread and roasted vanilla. Malty-sweet finish. Solid in its style.

*Old rating, best before 10.09.05. Malzig-dunkles Bier. Nicht zu süßlich, ein Hauch Lakritze, frisch, Karamell, mit nettem malzigen Nachgeschmack.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of metal, malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, malt, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry, bitter, and metallic finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Clear orangey brown with a creamy off-white head leaving some lacework. Sweet aroma of burned caramel and pumpernickel. Good full body and a solid malt base with plenty of roasted malt and pumpernickel accents. Subdued bitterness. A very pleasant Bock. 140509

Clear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090514]

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a finger-thick, beige head. Caramel and butterscotch on the nose, rather one-dimensional. Butterscotch, some roasted malts, sweetness, some grains and a little dried fruits in the mouth. Medium body. Sweet, caramel finish. Not my idea of a dunkler bock, and not very successful I think.
