2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 yngwie (9188) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2009
Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a clear, dark golden body under a finger-thick, beige head. Caramel and butterscotch on the nose, rather one-dimensional. Butterscotch, some roasted malts, sweetness, some grains and a little dried fruits in the mouth. Medium body. Sweet, caramel finish. Not my idea of a dunkler bock, and not very successful I think. Bottle (thanks to kapplday123): Clear deep copper coloured, quite big stable off-white head; caramel, roasted malt in the nose with a touch of hops; relatively dry-bitter flavour, quite light bodied for a Bock; roasterd malt, coffee and caramel in the dry bitter finish. Quite similar to the Pumpernickel; a typical "light" DDR-Bock..........
