Had on tap the Columbus location. Dark, black pour with a creamy mocha colored head. Strong coffee and chocolate notes in the aroma and flavor. Bitterness in the back end - but just a tad too much lactic acid kind of dampes my enthusiasm for this one.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ChainGangGuy (3835) - Canton, Georgia, USA - NOV 4, 2007
Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a small, fizzy tan-colored head.
Smell: Mild aroma of dry, dark chocolate with a hint of coffee.
Taste: Dark maltiness with flavors of dark chocolate and coffee, though very little sweetness. Not much of a hop presence beyond a faint, faint herbal character. Chocolate milk finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Mild carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s alright!!
