Cask, gravity at the bar at Bromyard Folk Festival, 11.09.11 Pours gold, lovely and clear with a smattering of bubbles. Little bit of cereal in mouth, but there is a good dollop of sweetness. There is a hard edge to this which I rather like. hops showing, its a pleasant beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask conditioned at The Weighbridge, Alvechurch, W.Mids. Pale gold with white head. Perfumed hops with an apricot character dominate this beer, there is a sweet, honeyed note, a little over the top for me.

Cask, Melton Fest 10. Golden with a small foam. Aromas are apple and lemon with caramel and biscuit malts. Herbal and floral with fruity hops. Flavours are green apple with biscuit malts and grain. Hoppy and clean with a dry finish. Good.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2011 1)Cask, Solihull ’08. Orange amber with a faint haze. Outrageous soily green geranium aroma with odd floral hops. More earthy green citrus in the mouth. Tiny orange hints, vanilla cheesecake base. Geranium cordial, in a good and distinctive way. I think. Bit of a head-scratcher. 2) Cask, Leicester 2011. Out of the 197 unrated beers on offer, I drunkenly duplicate myself. Pathetic. Bright dusted gold, slim white lid. Aroma of fibrous stems, wood, resinous pine. Taste is soaped orange cream with lemon, bits of wood. Decent. 363613.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity combined with notes of elderberries. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of fruity esters, leading to a slightly bitter finish.

Crystal clear, golden pour topped by a 2cm firm white head. Floral and hugely grainy nose that still manages to be well integrated and tasty enough. There is a certain grassiness that feels perhaps a bit overdone, bordering vegetals and that removes from the balance. Otherwise, quite straightforward. Medium bodied, light and soft carbonation.

Gold with not much head. Very little scent. Slightly bitter with some acidity. In the mouth: citrus and custard, maybe even strawberries and cream.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Out Of The Vaults, Leicester. A golden coloured bitter with a white head. The aroma is quite bitter with good hoppiness. The taste is bitter and hoppy, but there’s a good malt balance giving a decent body. A nice finish and a decent beer.
