3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at the brewpub, 6.5% ABV
Clean golden color with compact head. Mild fruity hop aroma. Lean mouthfeel, with moderate residual sweetness; toffeish malt flavor; bold bitterness. But there are light traces of diacetyl.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft - Light candy like sweet hops. Clear gold with a decent white head. Similar taste to smell, but something went wrong and it is very sweet and then very bitter. Finish is bitter with a cloying taste on the tongue.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Couleur jaune brillant avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme d’houblon avec un goût pareille. Il n’y a pas d’agrumes ou pin, c’est plutôt juste amer. Pas au standard du C-B.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On draught at the brewpub. Cloudy amber, white head. Nose is on the fruity side, citrus, some pine. Flavour is piney, quite simple, like their Siren with more hops. A bit spritzy, dry. Not so great.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Typical hop aromas that pours a slightly cloudy golden colour. An unusually short lasting finish on the palate which doesn’t help the lack of flavour and bitterness. Not a great example of an IPA but a very drinkable beer more in the style of an English pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nose of honey biscuit and floral fruity hops. Somewhat peefumey but leaning towards the english style for sure. Pours golden nice frothy head. Flavors of biscuit honey and fruoty hops. A little earthy and floral. Smooth and nice bodied at 4.8%. Good solid drinker.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
GCBF 2010. Hazy bright golden colour. Hop dominated aroma and flavour of pine and citrus pith. A tasty IPA despite the surprisingly mild ABV.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden-copper with a thin layer of foam and great lacing. Aroma is very buttery, but not unpleasantly so. Flavour is quite pleasant: lightly fruity malt, Goldings and/or Northern Brewer hops (turns out it is Cascades, but I’m really not getting the citrus). More English than Pacific Northwest, but significantly more pleasant than the more recent Anglo-IPAs that I’ve had. Lightly creamy body, good carb, lingering finish. Well done!
