tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a thin head. There’s a light, hoppy aroma. The flavor is a straightforward bitter with basic malt and hops tastes. Medium bodied and relatively crisp in the finish, it’s okay for a session beer.

Aroma is a light hoppiness, slightly nutty. Taste is pale malt, decent hoppiness, but at the same time sweet. Amber with an off white head.

Clear copper appearance. Fairly hoppy aroma with some yeasty fruitiness. Mild malt content on the palate, hop citrus plays a big part in the finish. Decent if unspectacular.

Golden ale with a thin white head. Light sweet malt with butterscotch notes. In mouth, sweet and buttery malt with light english hops, but a bit too much diacetyl. Medium bodied. Plain. Bottle was 6 mo. old, merci JM.

Pours a clear light brown with the briefest of heads and no particularly memorable aroma. Taste is peculiar - macro malt profile with an attempt at more bitter anglohops, but ultimately the hopping does not blend and the beer tastes confusing. Slightly undercarbonated (served on-tap) and thin with no aftertaste to speak of. Points for effort.

(Draught) Pours an actively-carbonated orange-amber body with a thin creamy almond head. The nose is near odorless - perhaps mild hops. The flavour however is filled with hops. Average.

Draft at the brewery
Rusty orange and red color. Bad skunky lager scent. Frothy, but not fizzy carbonation. Sour grains, wet cardboard and corn flavors. Lager-like, rancid, thin.

This bitter is decent, but not outstanding. It’s a bit bitter up front, but lacks the malty backend.
