COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask conditioned, keg unpasteurised; Regular.
A dark stout-like ale brewed with roasted and chocolate malts for some real depth and balanced with a generous amount of green bullet hops. Hoppyness backed by smooth fresh-roasted coffee and cocoa.

Keg at The Foundry brewpub, cask at City Arms, Canterbury. cask conditioned then kegged served through cooler with gas added. Very dark brown ale cola colour with creamy beige head. Yes its too cold but the favours are lovely. Just right level of roastyness has that undefinable drinkability. Some choc some bitter roast malt. Hops on finish too are a touch on the bitter stingy variety. Tastes fresh. Tasty stout with decent depth of flavour and depth of character. Good. cask version at City Arms Canterbury. Much fuller in the mouth much more fruit. Fruit did not come through on the keg version. Good character. Nuts and fruits. Less roasty than keg version. Richer. Tastier. And a better beer on cask. But I prefered the keg version. 3.6/5.0

Hand (milk)bottle at Nate’s Sweet Sixteenth, thanks to Ian. It pours deep ruby, with a thin bubbly beige head. The nose is roasted malt, wood and a touch of dark chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, liquorice root, chocolate and wood, with a dry finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Easy drinking.

Nate2Gs Birthday Bash at Kernel. Courtesy of the milkman - Cheers Ian! Clear brown beer, not much of a head. Smooth semi dry palate. Nice mild dark malts with a nice chocolate streak. Nice balance of mild hops. Well balanced and integrated and has a great drinkability.

Plastic milk jug at Nate’s High Rollers Beer Birthday Party, thanks to Ian. Pours lightish brown with a small, off-white head. Grassy, lightly roasty nose. Medium sweet flavor, notes of dry toast, great chocolate notes, cocoa, mild bitter mocha. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, some burnt wood, cocoa. Great stuff, especially given the relatively low ABV.

Courtesy of harrisoni. Colour is very dark brown, good clarity. Nose is roasted malt, fruity hops, yeasty esters, bit of unrip fruit. Taste is roasty, chocolate and ale fruitiness. Bit of bitterness on finish.
